2023 Central Ranges, Victoria - Chardonnay - "Duck"

LOOK: Pale gold with green hues

SMELL: White peach and tropical fruit with subtle vanilla and toasted oak, complemented by creamy malolactic notes.

TASTE: Stone and tropical fruit flavours extend to a creamy complex palate, with gentle oak integration from 9 months fermentation and aging in French hogsheads.

PERFECT WITH: Roast chicken, seafood pasta, creamy risotto, soft cheeses, or Asian fusion dishes.

JOSEPHINE'S NOTES: This is a collaboration between Dan and myself - two winemakers who met at our children's cricket! We wanted to create a Chardonnay that was balanced and approachable - food friendly and appealing to everyone.  It's gone through malolactic fermentation to give it that lovely creamy texture, unfiltered and unfined to preserve its character. Sometimes the best wines come from great friendships and shared passions.  This one's a real crowd-pleaser!
